A proper wash, not a quick one
A full valet here is a two-stage wash: snow foam goes on first and is left to soften the dirt, then the car is washed by hand with clean microfibre mitts. That order matters. Going straight in with a sponge grinds the grit into the paint, which is what causes the fine scratches you see in low sun. Then wheels, arches, door shuts and trim, dried with plush towels, and a one-month sealant on the paint so the rain beads off.
Interiors
Full vacuum, and the dash, console, door cards, vents and glass all wiped down properly. If the interior has gone past a wipe-down — pet hair, ground-in dirt in the carpets, a spill that’s dried in — that’s when the deep clean and the extractor earn their money.

The full valet at £100 cleans and protects. The deep clean at £180 adds the extractor through the seats and carpets, chemical decontamination for iron fallout and tar, and a longer 3-month sealant instead of the 1-month one.
