MC Detailing UK
Hi, I'm Martin Chan. I was born in Hong Kong and moved to Scotland in 2023 with my wife and daughter.
Cars have been at the centre of my working life for over a decade. Before the pandemic, I ran a limousine business in Hong Kong. During Covid, I worked as a private chauffeur for a billionaire car collector, and part of my job was maintaining his fleet of luxury and supercars, keeping every one of them immaculate, inside and out.
What I Do
I’m a FEYNLAB certified detailer based in Whitburn. Mobile valeting comes to your home or workplace anywhere across Central Scotland: Edinburgh, Glasgow, Stirling, Falkirk and West Lothian. Paint correction and ceramic coating are carried out at my unit in Whitburn, where the lighting and conditions suit that kind of work.
There are two sides to what I do. Mobile valeting comes to you: a maintenance clean, a full valet or a deep clean, carried out at your home or workplace and finished the same day. Garage detailing happens at the unit in Whitburn: gloss enhancement, paint correction with FEYNLAB ceramic coating and multi-stage correction, which need controlled lighting and take anywhere from one day to six.
Most people start with a full valet and move up once they see the difference a proper finish makes. All I need on a mobile job is access to a power socket. The water comes with me. See what every service costs, or call and WhatsApp me on 07510 141510 for a quote.
I'm a genuine car enthusiast. You'll find me at track days or racing on iRacing in my spare time. Keeping cars clean has always been part of that passion, and it taught me the habit that defines my work today: attention to detail, down to the smallest gap and vent.
In April 2024, I launched my mobile valeting business. In my first year I valeted over 200 cars across Edinburgh, Glasgow, Falkirk, West Lothian and the surrounding areas, sharing the process along the way with my social media community. Today I'm a FEYNLAB Certified Detailer, and I treat every vehicle, from a family car to a weekend supercar, the way I treated that collection: with care, patience and pride in the result.
When I moved on from my chauffeur role, my reference letter read:
“During Martin’s period of employment, he has been an outstanding driver and assistant. He is very diligent in his work, follows instructions well, pro-active in offering suggestions for how to more effectively complete tasks, has been a trustworthy and positive team member, and was always willing to go the extra mile to complete his work.”
