Mobile Car Valeting in Cramond

Cramond is the coastal end of my Edinburgh round — the village by the mouth of the River Almond, Cramond Island and its tidal causeway, and the boat club along the front. It’s a bit further out than Murrayfield or Stockbridge, but the driveways make it an easy visit once I’m there.

Salt air and sand take their toll

Cars parked near the shore pick up salt residue and fine sand faster than cars further inland, which speeds up paint dulling if it’s never rinsed off properly. A regular maintenance valet keeps on top of that; the full valet clears out sand that’s worked its way into the footwells and boot after a walk along the causeway.

Family homes, easy access

Most of Cramond is driveway parking on quiet residential streets, so valets here are usually straightforward — no permit bays or match-day traffic to plan around.

Does living near the coast damage a car’s paintwork?

Salt in the air speeds up dulling and corrosion if it’s left to sit, especially on wheels and lower panels. Regular washing is the main defence — it’s worth valeting more often than you would inland.

Car valeting in Cramond — common questions

How much does a car valet cost in Cramond?

A full valet in Cramond starts at £100 for a normal-sized car in normal condition, a maintenance valet from £70, and a deep clean with the seats and carpets extractor cleaned from £180. Larger vehicles and cars that need more work are quoted before I start, so the figure you agree is the figure you pay.

Do you come to me in Cramond?

Yes. The valeting side is fully mobile, so I come to your home or workplace in Cramond with my own water and power. You do not need to supply anything or move the car. Machine polishing and ceramic coating are the exception — those are done at the unit in Whitburn, where the light and the temperature are controlled.

How long does a full valet take in Cramond?

Around two and a half to three and a half hours for a normal-sized car. A deep clean takes longer, usually four to six hours, because the seats and carpets are extractor cleaned and need time to dry.

Do you valet in the rain?

Yes. The wash itself is unaffected by rain, and the sealant is applied to dry paint under cover of the tailgate or in your driveway once the panels are dry. Only heavy, sustained rain or freezing conditions cause me to move a booking, and I will call you rather than turn up and rush it.

How do I book a valet in Cramond?

Message me on WhatsApp on 07510 141510, call the same number, or use the booking form on the site. Tell me the car, roughly what state it is in, and when suits you, and I will confirm a time and a price before I come out.
