Car Valeting & Detailing in Linlithgow
Linlithgow is a bit different from the rest of my patch. There are more prestige and enthusiast-owned cars here, and more owners who care about paintwork rather than just wanting the mud off.
Valeting
The mobile side works the same as everywhere else — I come to you, full valet from £100, deep clean from £180. Plenty of Linlithgow properties are older with tight parking, so if access is awkward just mention it and I’ll plan around it.
If you care about the paint
This is the area where I get asked most about correction and coating, so it’s worth being clear about the difference. A valet cleans the paint. It does not remove swirl marks or scratches — nothing that goes on top of the paint can. Removing them means machine polishing, which physically levels the clear coat:
- Gloss enhancement, from £380 — single-stage polish, takes out light swirls and oxidation, brings the reflections back
- Paint correction and FEYNLAB ceramic, from £780 — proper correction, then a 3–5 year professional coating
- Multi-stage correction and ceramic, from £980 — the full job for heavily swirled or neglected paint
I’m a FEYNLAB certified detailer, which means I can apply professional coatings you can’t buy over the counter. That work is done indoors at the Whitburn unit, not mobile — coatings need controlled lighting and a dust-free cure.

Do I need correction, or just a valet?
Wash the car and look at it in direct sunlight. If it’s the dirt that bothered you, a valet is all you need. If the paint looks hazy, swirled or covered in fine circular scratches once it’s clean, no valet will fix that — it needs machine polishing.
